Hello everyone,

I've just put a 2" lift in my 2001 Jimny, and I'm looking to put some bigger tyres and widen the overall profile of my car.

After looking around I've found that 215/75r15 seems to be a pretty common size that people really like, but between that and 225/75r15 I'm not sure of the pros and cons aside from the cost.

I also want to get some negative offset rims, from what I've read online, -13 to -16 seems pretty common. Just wanted some opinions, and pros and cons of using negative offset rims?

Please correct me if I'm wrong with any of this information, but any and all recommendations are welcome.

Just put 215’s on your stock rims.

Negative offset rims aren’t required. They cause more issues with clearance, death wobbles and bearing life than they’re worth.

225/75R15 is a bit of an oddball size - the next common step from 215/75 is 235/75R15, and yes, to run them you need wider rims + more trimming of the car.
A Jimny is a tall & narrow box, so it could really do with some extra width for stability, but like Steve says, they don't respond well to doing so - creates more issues than it solves. Jimny is very easy to turn a ok driving car into a dog.
215s fit your stock rims, are cheap, require minimal work to fit, can be sold on if you really decide you need to go bigger, but your 2nd sentence says it all "215/75R15 seems to be a pretty common size that people really like" - that's for good reason.
The sweet spot for a Jimny, will be all you need in 99.9% of circumstances, unless you want to tackle genuinely hard stuff.
