I'm looking to take my grand Vitara 2007 2ltr beach driving to places like North straddie
I'm looking to get a lift kit of dobinsons 40mm but wanted to know opinions on whether people thought this is absolutely necessary for beach driving North Stratbroke etc.
My other concern is the 2.0ltr 4cyl engine and weather this will be all right in terms of its relatively smaller engine compared to lighter models that had the 2.4 ltr which people seem to say is okay for beach
You'l be fine mate. The lift is far from necessary but it may help in especially deep ruts. The rear suspension arms hang really low in the ngv and I've seen them skim the sand when in wheel ruts.
Don't worry about the power, keep it in the right gear and she'l be fine. Drop the tyres down to 10psi and I think you'l be very surprised at how well it does.
