G'day i was reading back though some threads and keep hearing people talk about heavy and light sierras, and i was wondering what is a light sierras loaded and unloaded weight, can it have a bullbar, is a heavy sierra under or over gvm when loaded up for a trip. if i haven't asked this clearly enough just say. Cheers Jack. |

My maruti with aluminium tray, steel bar and winch with rope is 1025kg and id say that is pretty light. Means I have about 300kg of available packing space before it hits gvm. |

Most sierras with off-road modifications (bar, larger tyres, maybe a winch) are around 1150. Packed for a trip and with two people on board they’re over GVM. |

For me a “light” Sierra is under 1000kg wet. That would be a build with all intent based around saving weight. A LWB can be heavier though. Lightness is the key to Suzuki’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
