Hi guys when doing a baleno swap into a seirra i have opted to use my existing sj70 tank paired with a PIERBURG 7.21287.53.0 as my tanks only 5 months old and i dont see myself doing any extreme off road with mega angles. plus i'm a lazy C#$# and its one less thing to have to pull out lol my question is. my mechanic friend was saying i should hook up a LPG Safety switch between the fuel relay and the pump for if the car stalls ?. do you think this is a must ? or can i get away with just running some nice 2 core down to the pump with nothing in between. |

IF you're using a standard Baleno ECU to run the engine and controlling the fuel pump from that, it's not necessary - the ECU will shut the pump off if the engine stops. |

Fat pink wire out the baleno harness handles the power to the fuel pump via the relay in the fuse box. Initially when ignition is switched to on position you should hear fuel pump prime for 4 secs then shutoff until car is started. |

Good question, buggered if i can remember haha I thought there was an arrow on the pump perhaps ? Might be time for google translate. Remember to make sure your tank is clean or the internal mesh filter on the pump will clog |

Remember to make sure your tank is clean or the internal mesh filter on the pump will clog from what i can see on this pump the large end has a filter inside it and the small end with the neg and pos terminals is a smaller barb has no filter visible so this to be would translate to large barb to tank small barb next to terminals is up to engine bumstein wrote: MrRocky wrote: Remember to make sure your tank is clean or the internal mesh filter on the pump will clog Out of curiosity, is the mesh filter accessible to clean it if required? on this one the filter does look like its pops out to be flushed or replaced most defs |

I normally also use a diahatsu feroza fuel pump bracket to mount the pump to the chassis. It rubber mounts the pump and is the perfect size |
