Hello everyone!

I have recently bought a 1992 Vitara 1.6 carby. It's in ok condition body wise but does have a few mechanical faults to sort.

I can see that the heater matrix has been bypassed and from what I can see it looks like it's been leaking. Only thing is I can't find a replacement online?

Where would I be able to buy a new heater core?

The Suzuki part number is 74120-64A00.

There are several online genuine parts importers that could get the part for you. One of those is Amayama, they list it for about AU$300, plus post. https://www.amayama.com/en/part/suzuki/7412064a00

For that sort of money (yes, it will be brand new), I would be considering taking the old core to a radiator specialist and see if they can solder up the leak.

Ah ok thanks for that. Any other similar sites you use for my future reference?

I was thinking about soldering it up. What are they like to get out? Realistically a couple of hours?
