Vehicle: 2001 Carry Van

I recently picked up a 2001 carry van and unfortunately the diff has packed up and I’m searching for a solution. I have received A quote for $880 to have the bearings replaced and nothing else, but there is some gear damage so I don’t want to go down this route. I have also contacted a couple of wreckers with prices for the centres ranging around $700. I have tried a diff centre from the earlier carry van, this bolts into the housing but the axles have a different number of splines so doesn’t work. I have also tried the diff centre from a holden Cruze YG, this fits the axels but the diff centre doesn’t fit into the housing. Are there any other Suzuki’s that share the carry diff centre? Unfortunately I can’t afford any of the carry ones for sale at the moment, and I have noticed that other diffs are a lot cheaper (at least half the price) which would be a great solution for me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I’ve spent many many hours trying to sort this. Thank you!!

Thank you, I did have a look but I think that they are slightly different lengths and the bearings are different so I’m under the assumption that they won’t fit. I also looked and changing out the whole axle which I’m fine doing, but all the ones I’ve looked at so far have different mounting points for the arms, shocks, springs etc. Unfortunately I don’t think I have the skill to modify to fit.

Appreciate your reply!

Talk to Brian at 4wdpartshop.com.au - He owns a few Carry vans and might have wrecked parts from something else that fits (maybe Jimny??)
