Hi

Just purchased an LJ50 that had a f8b 3cylinder engine sitting in the back of it. And im wondering if its worth putting in the car? I always thought lj50s all came out with a 2stroke?

F8bs are worth good money to Mightyboy and Hatch owners with F5as.

I've never seen an F8b fitted to an LJ but people have fitted F5as and F6as which are the same block family. I think it requires a custom sump unless you convert to Sierra steering. I dunno if the carby would clear the bonnet, that'd be easy enough to measure up. A lot of work considering the return IMO.

And yes, all LJ50s were 2 stroke.

Yeah no worries. Well I don't really want the engine then. Guess I put it up for sale
