Hi, I got a leak at the front main seal after changingy timing belt and having to replace the timing gear on the crank. It losses a lot of oil when driving but not while idling. I ended up getting the mechanic to replace the front main seal while getting a rwc and he said I had damaged the seal when levering the gear off. I thought I thought I was careful. Now getting the car back the leak is still there but not as bad. I'm wondering if it may be a worn crank where the seal goes and if a speedy sleeve would be easy to install and if anyone has done that? Regards, Tim |

What does your mechanic say when you told him it was still leaking? |

He said the crank where the seal sat felt perfectly fine and he didn't think it was a problem. I do trust the mechanic but I'm getting to take another look. Just thought I would see if there was another thing that would cause the problem |
