| Post subject: | Engine light on and cutting out when decelerating |
Hello, I've got a 2005 Jimny that yesterday cut out whilst I was idling and the engine light came on. I drove home and it continued to cut out each time I had my foot off the gas and was decelerating. I took it to the garage this morning but the engine light was off and it drove with no issues - they ran diagnostics and a fault came up with the throttle - but as there were no issues (not cutting out and no engine light on) they couldn't be certain. I drove my car home and it was fine until I was parking and the engine light came back on and the engine cut out. Has anyone experienced anything like this and could suggest a fix? A new throttle is expensive and I don't want to order this part if it's not going to fix it. I'll drive it around a little longer and bring back to the garage when its cutting out so they can see the issue. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you! |
