16 valve 1298cc sohc head on a 1298cc g13ba block? Looking at a BA gasket on the BB head, head bolts line up, oil supply lines up, front and rear oil returns needs a trim but would work as is. Everything else seems to be coolant, which shouldn't be a problem. It's not really something I'm going to persue, just wondered if there's something I'm missing here. G16b swap is probably less work than some kind of 16valve craby fed hybrid. |

The head will fit but you will need to swap the pistons as the compression ratio would be to high. A quick calc shows the compression ratio would be 12.25:1 with BA pistons, if the valves even clear. JDK81 has a brilliant spreadsheet for calculating compression here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=33260 IMO the tricky bit about building a 16v carby is driving the dizzy or fitting some sort of programable ignition. |
