hey guys,
I have a 96' coily SJ80 with a G13BB in it. We recently put a new head on it as the head gasket blew and also cracked the head in the process. before we pulled it apart it was idling high (around 1500 - 2000rpm) and now that we have put it back together it is doing the same thing. also seems slightly sluggish in acceleration. Looking for any suggestions, help or advice as to what I need to do to fix this.
thanks in advance

First question, is the engine throwing any trouble codes via the CEL?

If it's not throwing any codes, the most obvious explanation is that there's a vacuum leak somewhere. Spray brake cleaner or other similar volatile solvent around the manifold while the engine is running and listen for s rise in revs.

I assume you've set idle speed to the minimum via the available physical adjustments to the throttle plate and IAC?
