Hi gang!.. I just bought my first Zook and she's a ripper but I found some spots of rust under the rear door trims/seals in the door itself .. Not a big deal Im thinking, I'm not really mechanical but I'm 54 and rebuilt an old holden or two.. The baZooka is really nice, lifted and pimped with a new motor and looks tough, but it's been pissing rain here in north QLD and now I'm starting the little rust job I see the left side rear floor is like an inch deep water..eww.. The door trims/seals look fine and I'm just wondering should I change them? Is this a common issue with the Vitara's? There is no major rust in to top of the doors after prepping, just one little match head size in the corner.. Is this this enough to funnel so much water into the rear floor or is there something else I need to unpack thats causing it? Thanks for any advice guys.. Nice to be here.. |

Thanks guys.. awesome forum.. Cleaned the water up in the rear passenger footwell then ran the aircon for 20 minutes and the water appeared again.. Has anyone got a remedy to fix the quit obvious design fault with the air con leaking into the cab?.. Before I start to dismantle everything.. I'm sure the filters are clean and air con is cold, I ran it on all modes and the footwell basically filled up half inch in 20 minutes.. Blocked air con drainage?.. Where is it, I can't find it in the manual.. Cheers.. |

What exactly of you expect us provide? This isn't a paid research service, you've been informed what the problem is, that it's common and (mostly because there isn't a specific thread about it on here that I'm aware of) where you might find answers. Of course though, making demands for replies really motivates us to help though. I put "grand vitara a/c drain leak" into google and all manner of photos and threads popped up, including several on https://www.suzuki-forums.com/ confirming this is a known issue and is readily fixed. I assume you can also put that phrase into Google and don't n need us to do it for you. You'll generally get a better response if you demonstrate you've tried to do some research and perhaps that has led to further or more specific questions rather than demanding to be spoon fed. Alternatively you could try Facebook if you want concise, accurate and relevant technical information |

And probably don't expect a response less than 12 hrs after you post, especially regarding a GV that most members have no interest or knowledge about. |

I've got the same issue with mine & I bodged up a fix, but with that attitude I'm not sharing it. |
