Congratulations on being selected for Auszookers Zook Owner of the Month!

Thanks Boggomobile for the nomination!

How does it feel being honoured with the nomination for Z.O.O.M. 2014?

I'm pretty happy, I never thought I'd have a chance to share my Zook experiences.

So tell us about yourself. Who are you, What's the meaning to your username, Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?

My names Josh, I recently moved to the western suburbs of Brisbane after living on the Gold Coast for 4 years. The move was prompted due to me being made redundant at my work and getting a new job that was a 100k round trip each day. I work for Hitachi Construction building Mining Dump Trucks. My Username comes from my first Sierra, it was a 89 WT that I painted green

How did you get started in Suzuki's & how many have you owned?

When I was quite a bit younger the Trials club I was part of had 2 LJ50's that they used as Marshalls vehicles around the property. Seeing these little twin locked 2 smokers hoon around the loop was interesting, but I was too young at the time to fully appreciate the awesomeness. Quite a few years later (around '06) my best mate at the time bought a 90 model Sierra soft top. I was well into the Japanese Import scene by then so when I first went out to Ormeau for a wheel with him thats it, I was Hooked. A few months later I bought a junk sierra and spent some time fixing it up. I've owned about 36 cars and 9 of them have been Suzukis Armsup

Since everyone likes pics here a few of my Zooks in chronological order.

My bad Idea Carry

then I inherited a LJ81 from my Father in Law, Sadly I didnt have the time to do anything with it so I sold it to someone who started a ground up resto.

All these were a second/toy car at the time.

How long did it take you to build your zook to what it is today?

I bought 60ZUK the coily in February 2012 and within the first month it went from this

To This

Since then Mods have happened in fits and starts depending on enthusiasm. I wheeled it for about a year as it was, but this year has seen a few more bits and pieces added to it.

As it sits currently

Any changes in store for your Suzuki?

For sure! I've sourced a WT Transfer and will be rebuilding that with 4.9s for more reduction. Rear barwork is in progress and I also have a few parts in the shed that i've been collecting  After that I plan to twin lock it, be that with CAP lockers or WT diff swap remains to be seen. As almost all of my cars have had mods it stands to reason that the sierra is in a constant state of evolution.

What has been your best modification?

Maybe not "best" but on 60ZUK the LED headlights and Lightbar rock!!! They make night driving so much safer!

What has been your worse modification?

I was not a fan of the EFS springs/Koni shock combo in my WT, way too firm and bouncy.

If you could have anybody else's zook, who's would it be and why?

There are a few on here I like, my top 3 picks would be FL33XY the insane coily, 31zook's Green Goat, and 3cyl's Annette the LJ50. All are very capable and cool in their own way.

What has been your best 4wding trip?

There have been a few that rate highly, but one of the best feelings was a solo wheel and camp out the back of Kenilworth and Jimna State Forests, just the Mrs and myself, along with the trusty Jimny and we didnt see anyone for a day or so while exploring a beautiful part of QLD.

If you could go to any place in the world to wheel, where would that be?

I would love to one day do a round Australia Trip and drop in and wheel with the AZ Crew in every state, I reckon that would be pretty cool.

Who are you closest to in the auszooker's community?

I am close Friends with Skippy, and I know Boggomobile from Trials Comps. I also speak with jimny_timmy and Wilso almost everyday.

Tell us what the wheeling is like in your area?

A lot of people say SEQ is bad for wheeling prospects, and yes its definitely not as good as a few years ago. When I lived on the coast Ormeau was 10 minutes from my house so we went there quite often. There also is Ripley and within 2 hours we have a few State Forests, Beaches and a couple of 4x4 parks. So yeah there is a place for every taste.

What other toys/hobbies do you put a lot of time into?

I have always had a lot to do with Bikes, I rode Competitive Moto Trials from 1997-2007 and then 2010-2011.
Its a very physical sport and very technical.

In Keeping with the them I have also restored/rebuilt a few Trials bikes in between.

Aswell as bikes, my other interests include Jap Import Cars, but everyone knows what a Skyline looks like right?

What is it about the auszookers that brings you back for more?

The broad variety of characters, and the Awesome tech.

What about the auszookers forum would you like to see changed?

I like how it runs now, as it is its my favorite Forum to visit Armsup

Now for the million dollar question, who do you select to be the next Z.O.O.M. & why?

I'm going to Nominate jimny_timmy......

Thanks for reading AZ :peaceout:

Cheers again for the Nomination Greg. It's funny how we could see each other so regularly at Trials yet not realise our mutual love for Zooks!
