How does it feel being honoured with the nomination for Z.O.O.M. 2017?

So tell us about yourself. Who are you, What's the meaning to your username, Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?
My name is George, I live in Lake Macquarie near Newcastle NSW. I work for the state government maintaining heavy vehicles and bridges.
My user name is my wife and my initials, easy for me to remember.
How did you get started in Suzuki's & how many have you owned?
I have owned just the one and a parts car.
My family bought a new hard top in 1992 as a second car and I learnt to drive in it on the property we lived on.
I still have the hand books from that car in my zook.
Later a fellow work mate lost his licence and asked if I would run him to and from work in his NT 1ltr soft top, my wife and I took it out on the weekends
and the seed was planted.
My wife later bought a swb soft top Vitara as a second car but ownership was brief
I had owned a lot of motorbikes and as my kids got older I wanted something we could all enjoy so I searched for a clean soft top Sierra
How long did it take you to build your zook to what it is today?
The car has been evolving for about 4 years. It started with me wanting bigger tyres on the beach and then snowballed.
I bought a donor with the GTi motor and a few other goodies and swapped them over. A friend had some left over parts from a turbo project and we thought it would be fun.
I started going into the bush with some fellow auszookers and realised I needed to do a lot more work to it. Lockers, gears and bar work all followed.
The whole time I have owned the zook it has been my daily driver. It has done about 35k turbo'd with little issue
Any changes in store for your Suzuki?
the only change is I would like rear discs, it does need some maintenance tho.
What has been your best modification?
Gears and lockers have been awesome but... Doing the RUF and taking the time to sort my suspension
has made the car so much easier to drive and done wonders for my confidence.
What has been your worst modification?
With little thought I put the extended shackles in that came with the donor.
They sucked bad
If you could have anybody else's zook, who's would it be and why?
A really tough one, so many awesome rigs.
Ring Ding is just cool. Would love to have it a weekend toy
What has been your best 4wding trip?
We took the Poo troll to Fraser Island last year and had a blast. Not the hardest 4wding but we got up to Sandy Cape
and it was really special for the whole family.
I have enjoyed every trip I have taken the Zook however Watto's 16 was awesome. Great people and really opened my eyes to what a Suzuki can do and has changed the way I wheel
for the better
It was also in my own back yard which is a bonus
If you could go to any place in the world to wheel, where would that be?
I have no aspiration for global domination, too much to see here.
Heading to Moreton at the end of September and planning for the Simpson Desert in 2019.
Also would really keen to make a Coffs trip.
Who are you closest to in the auszooker's community?
I go wheeling with Rustyzook the most and also calzook, 31zook and shiv when we get the chance
What other toys/hobbies do you put a lot of time into?
Kids. We try and get out touring and camping as much as possible and I also have an old series Land Rover that I have been slowly tinkering with.
What is it about the auszookers that brings you back for more?
The experience and information, I also enjoy the rigs and seeing where others are off wheeling

Rustyzook. He has had heaps to do with zooks, his rig is cool and he would have so good stories.
