Sweet!! I was keen for some forced induction on the Mrs Swift... but we ended up with a Mazda 3 MPS instead :lol:

Any updates Royce? I plan on upgrading to a MY13 Sport this year, and sell my 1990 GTi Turbo. Time to have something that looks smart, but is quiet and smooth. Cams, Turbo noise, a loud pipe and 25 year old door seals gets overrated after almost 9 years. Then I hopefully can focus on the ute a bit more (m18 conversion :D)

So ive had it 3 years now
Changed to a 2.9" pulley which was a bit of a gamble and used something made for some American car (like everything go fast for these info and actual bits are hard to come buy cause its all stance wankers driving them)
550cc injectors, was a bit fiddly to setup the dead time due to the swifts fixed fuel pressure, bit of trial and error and watching the fuel trims on an OBDII app got there eventually, FWIW you can get about 30% trim before the ecu gets upset over it
Messed around a bit and got 139.7kw at the wheels, on stock timing, no pinging detected from either the knock sensor or knock phones.
Lowered it and put some fancy pads in, bit boring but you gotta keep occupied during chemo :)

Bought a gearbox out of a race car, hardened case and gears, 4.7 diff instead of 4.3 and 0.75 5th instead of 0.83. also a monster sport LSD so maybe the throttle will work in corners now and not just make dash lights flash.
Monster sport dont have any flywheels though, cause not stance, so have to wait 6 weeks to fit it (well till I watch Bruce and Scrawny do it)

Impressive figures!! I've bought myself a current swift sport (zc32) after upgrading from a GTi turbo of 8.5 years, I love the space & quietness of the new bus, but the 100kw is very lacklustre :( charging the m series seems so damn dear!!

So it still lives, hasnt moved much the last year cause its a bit painful to drive, I am looking at options to try and fix that but some a pretty dear with nothing to say it will work.

So out of boredom and interest i converted it to E85, i made a thing with an adrduino and googling to convert the pulsed signal from a flex fuel sensor to a 0-5v signal and fed that into the piggyback with its own map to up the overall fuel amount from 0 to 35%, worked better than I thought.
Also a 2.5" exhaust with a Varex and 2 resonators so its still stock quiet, made 159kw at the wheels!

I have been working on fitting a Link ECU to it to take care of essential engine controls and leaving the stock one on for AC and Alternator and stuff, been a lot of wiring harnesses to get it to plug in, almost done though and I would like to get it finished in the next few months, wont make more power but be easier to tune and add some protection and data logging features, like cooling system pressure so I know the exact moment the head gasket blew :D

You will love the Link! I've tuned quite a few of them now. One of my favorite aftermarket ECUs so far Armsup

So still working on that ECU, to make it more interesting I bought the new Link PDM, which is sort of like a solid state programmable relay and fuse box, but with a bunch of extra smarts that hopefully will force me to learn about Canbus to get it all to work.

Looking through some pics it seems about 2 years ago I was able to drive it again, after doing 18km in it the previous year, it thanked me by starting to flog out the supercharger bearings (after 100000km) so while I took that off to get fixed I figured I may as well fit a better headgasket and ARP head studs and some bigger cams and upgrade the fuel system along with a bunch of other things that might be getting old.
Suffice to say it's still not back together, between losing interest and not physically being able to work on it, it moves slowly.
But slowly is progress, maybe this year it will get off the jackstands.
