After being jerked off by our trailer builder we have decided to build our own, I've searched a few forums with no success. I am chasing any info or links regarding plans and builds of tandem car trailers.

imho build to suit what you want size etc , use plans like above as a guide and go from there
oh and build it heavier than you need . ie 3500kg instead of 2500kg .
and check the laws regarding building car trailers in your state

I'm not sure how those links are relevant to a tandem axle car trailer. They seem pretty specific to a single axle camping (dare I say teardrop) trailer. They seem to have no allowance for the load distribution of a tandem trailer unless I am missing something.

Build it wider then you think you will ever need it, thought mine would be wide enough but it will be outgrown in the next 6 months.

The original one had drive over guards and hopefully this will be the same. it needs to take a wide patrol based rig as well as zook and hilux

bought one for 2k then modified it myself new chasis rails, all suspension including hangers QLD mod plate = 3000kg tows like a dream behind my bus

That's pretty heavy The last one we used weighed about 750kg

this one has a genset, fuel, 100 lt of water, a shower, tolit, solar, gas hotwater so i expect it would be
