I made up this camping "cooking" box, AKA know as my Kitchen-in-box. We don't camping that often so, we always had a small gas burner with those throw-away gas canisters, and these are renowned fro the inherent (in)stability. I wanted to make something that's easy to carry (light enough for SWAMBO to be able to tote around as well), and also something that the wind doesn't snuff out the flame before the billy has boiled. I had some alu flight case lid extrusions and some 0.75mm alu stucco, and some plywood... After the photo's were taken, I added a carry handle to the lid, as well as two small plywood drawers to fit in the spaces on the right hand side. Took me longer to make the fr&*kkin drawers than the rest of the kitchen-in-a-box So I commandeered my two brain cells and came up with this: http://s443.photobucket.com/user/dewets/story/14443 Dimensions: Width: 23cm, Height: 29cm, Length: 41cm SWAMBO: = She Who Must Always Be Obeyed |

Sometimes a pack of chewing gum is enough. No cut down tooth brushes here.ps. This is a heavy stove suitable for car camping, folds compact, wont get snuffed out, fuel is easy and not overly volitile. Just doesnt like uber cold. http://www.trangia.se/english/2913.trangia_stoves.html |
