Don't forget that over 350kg you will need trailer brakes. |

The 750kg is for the trailer itself, the vehicle it's connected to dictates the brake requirements. For a Jimny it's 350kg, any heavier brakes are required. I would assume a Sierra would have the same unbraked load limit. |

Very true; I hadn't taken that into consideration (obviously). Our Mazda 3 is 500kg unbraked, for instance. |

Yeah Sierras and jimnys are the same. Can't tow over 350kg without brakes. Trailer regs are different to tow ratings. |

My 6x4 was built to be towed by a Suzuki so has 10" electric brakes and I built it light and strong. As a bonus it is legal to 1200kg and only requires a spring change to be legal to 1600kg. Trailer weighs 220kg empty and tows awesomely and the car and trailer combo stops better then a stock car with no trailer. I hate seeing all the non braked trailers getting towed on here. |

My shorty GV rode and braked better with 1100kg of braked trailer hanging off it than it did with 300kg of unbraked box trailer on it, by far. |
