So after getting used to Luxurious things like Automatic transmissions and seat padding, I decided to get some comfort in the camp game and invest in a trailer.

I started with this thing, which was built by an old guy as his ultimate camper some time ago, 6x4 trailer, Cruisemaster (before they were called that) leaf suspension with shocks, 60l water tank and the best Canvas setup I have ever seen.

Basic setup was take the cover off, fold the top over and push out a pole and you had access to bed and a covered area, if you wanted to cover in that area, the walls and floor go on with Velcro and a rear awning zipped on, so was easy to setup basic camp or go full luxury mode, which made life easy. I converted it to electric braked Suzuki pattern hubs and took it out, Jimny towed the 600kg just fine up the highway and when the axle came loose and pulled the brake wires out it still stopped ok.
It was decided it needed some paint and some kind of kitchen, a mate said he would take care of it, long story short we haven't spoken since and now I have MKII!!

Sat waiting for one of these to come up for ages, so paid way too much for it, but its a nice one.

Plan was change the wheels and use it as an easy way to hook up and go, then Covid hit and no camping so the plan changed a bit.

Extend the drawbar (so the back door can open) lift it up with longer spring and braked hubs.
Build a frame and mount a rooftop tent to the lid (ended up as a new lid) I didnt want to tow it with it at roof height and all the ideas for lifting it and stuff were too much work.
270deg awning, kitchen slide out the back, 60l water and basic power system for lights and pump, fridge stays in the car.

So far its about here (I am not doing any of the work)

None of the Jimny or swift images work on Tapatalk or the webpage.

Edit;
Sorry, Swift images work, just the latest Jimny one isn’t loading.
