hi all,a couple of months ago i got new bendix shoes for the rear brakes and some axle seals as they are leaking a little.Today i decided its time to fit them but my problem is that one shoe wont fit in either side.

Repco listed two different shoes but i got mine from bursons and all 4 of the one type arrived but they wont fit over the handbrake lever bit.So i started to file it out to then realise even the other side doesnt fit.So has anyone else had this problem??thanks

There are 4 different sets of rear brake shoes..
Sounds like you got NT shoes without a big enough slot for the handbrake and in one no self adjuster in the other.

yeah cheers fellas.Jumped in the car before and went to repco to look in there book again.they list one set as 1.3 some and another set as 1.3 most.Looked at the pics and it seems as said i got the NT with little slot where all 4 shoes are the same.Then the next part number had the same as what i removed this morning in the pics with two different shoes all together.

So they are on order and they need to be done asap as there is nearly no shoe left.But atleast now i know how to do them as ive never pulled a set off before.

Good on ya!! best thing to do is leave one side together so you can looky at where all the lil spring's go.

haha funny that everyone adds that little tip.Yeh thats what i done this morning.i ended up pulling both sides off just to clean em up and so on.the bloke i bought it off loved mud

So all going to plan ill have new ones by tuesday pull it apart again n put new shoes on and see how i go putting my 2 new axle seals in too?
