As the title says is the swap possible or will i need a coily tank? I have a perfect tank from a 1L ready to go in and some steel for a bash guard

i know for sure that it would fit a leafy but im not 100% sure can you compare it to your coily tank?

1L + 1.3L + coilys all same mountings. All should be fine as all sierras are carbie!

3 differences that i know off.

1L has an drain plug
1.3 is a normal enclosed tank
1.3 coily has a fuel bowl. 1/2 setup for efi

There maybe other changes. But i am unsure. All mountings definatley the same.

i just checked them both, mounts are the same.
filler house is on the right hand side of the coily tank, half way down the side. on the 1L it is on top and too the left edge. Looks like it will be easier too look for a coily tank then too re rout the filler hose, there is not alot of room.

anyone have a coily tank they would like to donate?

G'day, I was at Ipswich Auto Wreckers (Warrego Hwy) at Brassall on Friday. They have a raped coily soft top which still has its tank. :wink:

yeah ive done that alot already, probably crack if i straighten it again. there was a rear diff on the ravaged coily if you were still hunting for one.
