Does anybody have a ready made template for making a new dash surround for the 08/09 Jimny stereo head unit?
Looks to me like there is a 2 DIN space.

You could put a storage pocket under the new head unit. Just about all car accessorie places sell them.

I put my UHF under mine - there is a 2" space.
The front speakers are 4" but you can squeeze some 5 1/4 max in there with modifications.
There is another 2 holes in the rear, at the front of the wheel arches under the plastic - again they are ~5 1/4 inch or so size But with splits and some good 4"s upfront, mine sounds ok.

im running 4" jbl's in the front and 10" pioneer sub and 6x9" sony speakers in the rear. the sub and 6x9's are run of a cheap $79 800 watt amp. it sounds really good for a cheap setup. at the end of the day it just depends how much sound you want to pump out.
