I am giving up on the idea of a hardtop for my lwb as the
Freight is rediculus has any one got a air con on a soft top
Sierra? Does it work ok?
What bits are needed to fit a stock softtop to a LWB, mine has
No roof bits at all but I do have a lwb wreck that has some bits.
Any one suggest a good business to mail order a roof from.

Maria at MUCanvas or Austops or both reputable suppliers.
MU will be a bit cheaper but if it's ultimate quality you want go with the Austops piece.
If I were you Shep I would have made a roof and sides out of sheet metal with an inch box frame. I bet one of the old blackfella utes in the car dump up there has a canopy you could rob the tailgate off and modify.

My soft SWB came was air con, works great.
Not as good as air con in the hard top but deffinately
works.
You would just need the correct heater box, hoses,
of course pump, condenser and the electronics.

I did think about making a tassietoyuki type roof but I still want to be able to easly take
Every thing off for the dry season. Hell if it was up to me I wouldent bother with a roof at all
Cos it would get cleaned out every time it rained.
I have 2 compleat sierra aircon setups but I am going to try and make a set up with sierra
Under dash bits with the biggest condenser and compressor I can make fit.

Run two evaporators if you can fit a big enough compresser and condensor.
GQ TI and L/C Sahara run two evaporators so you might find parts laying around.

we plan on being here for 4 years so we can buy a really big bit of NSW (i hear it is cheap at the moment)
then i am gunna build my dream shed so i can make my ultimate sierra.
a couple of thousand acres near Inverell would do nicely.
