After the talk of simex's and other tyres bagging out or not... Here is a thread dedicated to tyre measurements so we can all see how much our tyres really do bag out when at different pressures.
To set some standards:
- measure the drivers side front tyre
- measure by putting a coathanger each side of the tyre (front/back for length, and side/side for width).
- push coathange in till it stops on the tread each side, measure each side and write down the average of the 2 measurements.
For consistency's sake, we'll do it on cold tyres (not driven on in the last hour). Measurements in millimeters to keep things easy.
Code:
TEMPLATE:
[b]Tyre Make/Model:[/b]
[b]Tyre Size:[/b]
[b]30psi, Length/Width[/b]
[b]20psi, Length/Width[/b]
[b]15psi, Length/Width[/b]
[b]10psi, Length/Width[/b]
[b]5psi, Length/Width[/b]
[b]0-2psi, Length/Width[/b]
EDIT: To explain how to measure, here's a diagram...
