To be legal in Queensland, aftermarket brake lines must have an Australian certification stamp on them.

I run Lowrange lines without drama and I'm sure the ones you linked to would be fine too, just not legal for road use.

Hyundai Excel lines also fit apparently, and are longer than stock.

I have the same set coming in have a few mates in the US that run them on heeps and yotas and say they are good lines, put it this way they will be better than stock, and if you have to you can get them passed, just need it to get cert here.

yeah i use excel lines, they come with a nice spring over the out side to protect them

i had a US made goodridge (i think that that is how ya spell it) braded lines
and i had one bust for no obvious reason. get adr compliant jobbies, it is
worth it in the long run.

Have had the same thing happen with aussie made braided so i don't think that is valid, as long as they are DOT over there and made by them they are as good as they are here IMO.

But when you can get ADR lines for similar pricing as DOT ones, why get the DOT ones?

If you have an accident due to brake failure, and don't have ADR lines, well, you're fucked then, aren't you?

i do have adr approved lines, genuine hyundai, and i agree that dodgy lines are not the way to go. but seriously. some of the bad mods that people are doing on here and no one says boo. and yet have a whine over the difference between DOT and adr lines.

I always suggest to people to rethink when I think they are doing something dengerous or stupid with their cars on here...

I'm not saying follow the law to the letter, just that there are places where a little more care and $$$ may be a good idea.

Goodrige braided lines are approved by QLD DOT for fitment to vehicles, I would assume in the last few years other brands have been accepted as well

though I also dont know why you would get lines from teh US when every corner store here will sell you something cheaper

and you can be a tight ass, I upgraded to wagon brakes for cheap as!!!
