ok i know this question has been asked b4, but i am going to ask again.....putting a 1.3l into a 1l i understand that i MAY have to do a body lift or put a 1.3 bonnet on......and i read somewhere about the trans tunnel possibly will be too small or something??? any other MAJOR issues that will arise???

move 1 engine mount, bodylift is needed to clear trans tunnel

raditaor and mounts are different so get them too

1 litre is better, jsut leave it in

I have a 1 litre zook and it reves hard. One thing i have learnt is i should
have bought a 1.3 so much to do the mods are endless.
I have been told if i put a 1.3 in everything changes diffs gearing everything and alot of $$$$$, so i have opted to a 5spd box and trying to source a turbo from japan as they can turbo the F5 engine i think which is 850cc or so.
So i say go for the mod, but what advantages does a 1litre have over a 1.3? Iam interested :) :)

they are shorter stroke and iron block, rev harder and live longer

and the carby is actually designed to go off road

mine used to sit on 120kmh, with stock gearing and 31's, plus 2" lift and 2" bodylift

Well my Vitara doesn't chew the Juice anywhere near as bad as my 96 Magna(which I sold to get the vitara)

Highway K's would see a 70 litre tank get 450k's...

I get the same K's from my Vitara from a 40litre tank with the Aircon on full time!!!
