Hey all,

After installing my crawlers the other day and cleaning all the gearbox & transfer so its nice and shiny. I seem to have developed a very sloppy gearbox shifter.. :?

I've taken it back out and looked down the hole and it seems there isnt any little plastic seat for the ball on the end of the shifter. Maybe I washed it out with all that degreaser... 8O

Anyone know if this is the same as the Sierra's just replace the little plastic thing with one of Bruce's magic Poly pieces and its all fixed.. Its still driveable but very difficult to get into reverse. :x

the manual shows a shifter seat that looks a bit like the sierra ones, there are also 2 location bolts, 1 either side that I imagine break the end off and make the shifter go sloppy like a sierra as well

Thanks Royce,

Yeah them bolts are ok.. you can feel like 1" of play in the stick before the ball on the end touches anything...

Ok it was the little nylon thingy on the end of the stick was missing.. Got another one from another box.

There are 2 pieces that I can see could be replaced in order to tighten up the shifter..

1. Is the nylon round thing on the end of the stick.

2. Is the Plastic washer that sits below the seat for the shifter. This has worn down quite considerably in my box as well as the other one.

Thanks for the help anyway.. ;)
