but do they replace the drive in all gears 4h 4l and 2h or just low grears

im not considering getting them just curious????

they replace the transfer gears and depending on type they do different things

sierra ones dues to the design offer a lower ratio in both low and high range, sierras have a reduction in high range from factory as well, hence why they have 3.7-4.11 diff gears

vitara only lower the low range ratio as high range is direct drive through the transfer so there is no gears as such

thats what i thought....so if i were to put 38s on my vit (theroeticaly)
I would burn clutches in 2H
but I could do good in low range!

so how do people run big tyres on vits ..or they dont on the road?

more power of a vit means they dont seem to struggle too much, plus they have a pretty low 1st gear so that helps get em moving

Diff gears would be the only way IMO.

ahhh what ratios are available ? has any one changed them on here ?
i know different years and gearboxes have different diffs but are there aftermarket options?

The other way is to run dual transfers like Ant does. Basicly you bolt a Sierra transfer to the rear output on the Vit transfer and get custom drive shafts made up. I think this would only be possible on the LWB Vits as the SWB wouldn't have enough room.
