moving is a sure sign the coolant is low
the sender is the thing in the manifold just under the thermostat housing with teh single wire, its common for the terminal on the front to corode a bit and do the same thing
ok well, i checked the coolant level today and all was fine, (covering the core and about 15-20mm from top of radiator filler neck) the only thing that was low was the over flow bottle. i will have a look at that terminal tomorrow morning.
drove it to and from gf's house with it reaching correct running temp both times and not rising or falling, but only taking a while to get to that temp. (prob about 5-8 min, driving at 70kph)
altho it may be running ok now, i would like to know what has caused this so i can fix it so it doesnt happen again.
thanks
