no they dont bolt in, the centres are the same and that is about it, they also have different ratios 3.7 in NT and 3.9 in WT

As far as I know, WT and NT diff centres are the same.

I know NT diffs run 4 gear front centres and WT are two gear, but nonetheless the carrier is the same so it's all interchangeable.

Yes NT is 3.9 ratio and WT is 3.7

you can use the centre, but not the housing or axles etc. are you just looking for a replacement diff? if so it is best to put a complete WT diff in if you can get it or replace the centre with another WT centre. the axles are too short and the hand brake will be different etc etc. most people like myself with a NT want to put WT diffs in at NT spring spacing to allow for more flex, this may be where your confusion is coming from. the only other mod that involves WT diffs and NT parts is to put the NT centres in to lower the diff ratio from 3.7 in a WT to the 3.9's from a NT. i hope this clears it all up for you

I think that steve may have ready the OP's post as 'diff' meaning the entire diff/ axle assembly, not the centre/ 3rd member as intended. In which case steve would be right in what he said.

A little more info from the OP would have avoided this.

Back on topic, yes NT and WT centres are inter-changable.

to end any confusion the term "no they dont bolt in" refers to the whole complete diff, not the centre

So in this post you are confirming that he also corrected eldo saying the diffs arent bolt in but the centers are the same,just like eldo said anyway?

1.3 Maruti's Front and rear. (4.1?)
1.3 NT Front and rear (3.9) Including Drovers.
1.3 WT Front and rear (3.7)
Rear Coily (3.9) (front will fit but hipinion= more drama's)
Rear Jimny (4.09)
Vitara Front. Various ratios. But alloy casting. Gearset can be swapped into a Sierra or Vitara steel carrier.


Centres that are not interchangable into a WT Sierra.

1L NT Front and Rear
Jimny front
Lj

If your putting a rear diff centre into the front, You will need to change the spider gears for the front axles. Smaller axles mean smaller splines for suzuki's. And visa versa for the rear.

Ratios MUST match front and back.

Like i said, bigger the axle, bigger the spline number. i.e Cromo's. But Cromo's are not a standard option. Its aftermarket. May as well say a rear locker will fit in the front with front spider gears etc or chromo's. But that wasnt the main question!
