Hey guys,
I am after some advice, I have a 91 1.6 Carby vitara soft top that I use to drive before I brought the hardtop I have currently. Its not registed and its not running at current. Im considering turning it into a little project and fixing it up.

I know this may have been covered a million times but engine wise I would prefer to change it to an EFI than fix whatever needs to be fixed to fix up the carby. hasnt been driven or started for several years and stole a few bits off it for my hardtop. Is it relitively easy to do the change over to efi? and say I did change it would it be noticably different to the carby and be worthwhile doing?

Also is there any other engines which swap over into a vitara that are reasonably easy to change over?

The only thing that will be a "bolt up" will be the G16B....

Anything is possible, depending on how much time, effort and money that you are willing to throw at it...

There will be almost as much work in fitting a EFI G16B into a carby vit as it is fitting one to a sierra.

You will still need elec mods, exhaust mods, intake and airbox mods, fuel system mods etc....

Realiasticly, how much of the work can you do yourself??

ok thanks,
yeah true Fatzook I dont have the experience myself to do alot of it, Im the first to admit I have a quite limited mechanical knowledge. But I do know some people who I could call on for help.
Ideally if i did do it would be as a learning experience as well to try gain a bit more mechanical knowledge and hopefully pick up a few skills along the way.
But its got to be worth doing, or else im better just to fix the carby up and be done with it.

The G16B is DEFINATELY worth doing IMO.
