Just got my rego fees for my jimny which for central regional Victoria are
$526. I know if I was still living in Melbourne I would be paying a lot more.
What do your fees cost where you live?
Paul
and sorry, I meant to put this thread in CHAT, not tech chat.

Ha, I live in a proppa size town, so insurance is less by a lot.

Queenslands costs for a 4cyl private use car are:
Registration fee 270.30
Traffic improvement fee 47.15
CTP insurance premium 337.00
Total fee ($) 654.45
But we don't have annual inspections, no annual charges for personalised plates and our CTP is all the same price no matter where you are in the state.

But in saying that Im driving a 21 year old car around on most weekends and there isn't to many older vehicles at the lights when I pull up..

Yea, thats only in the big smoke but, all country cars are in stunning mechanical condition.
In New Zealand they have a WOF, Warrant Of Fitness, and trully, there are inspection places, and well, places you can get your car, in just about any condition, passed. Seems there are just as many shitboxes there as in SA.
We have nothing like it down here, so I cannot comment on ozzy states inspections, but if ezed is anything to go by, its fukd.
