I want to replace the body on my 92 Hard Top. Have been looking for a few weeks now and descent hard tops are few and far between. But soft tops seem be everywhere in half descent condition.

Does any one in QLD know what the issues would be with the DOT?

Would I need to see an engineer to do a blue plate? (would just ask mine but he is always on the phone )

does the compliance plate say what body type it is?
I reckon DOT would never know

the body plates would say Van or Ute ?

Gibbon has a high top body for sale, looks like it's in pretty good nick, minor dents.

Fark the high top in the small hole.

Will look at the plate in day light. My rego papers say wagon though.

my hardtop said panelvan, my softop was a wagon, its jsut what box they click at DOT

I guess it would be easier to change companies that have no record of the numbers

there is a mod code for panelvan to ute, guess it couldnt hurt in some respects
