hey, anyone know how to set the pre load for the kingpin / swivel hubs thingys?

what do u guys mean tension the kinpins, when i did my hubs a just replaced the bearings and the rest, i didn't no i was meant to tension the kinpins

yeah you have to measure how much force you need to get the hub to move, chances are it is ok anyway

hmm. maybe thats why my cars tips easy. the inner hub seals are stuffed so ill need to redo them anyway. me kingpin bearing sleaves had worn the hub too. she'll be right

the seals will leak if the bearings are too loose

yeh dont most hub inner seals leak anyways. wat can i do bout it anyways lockright? the marine grease is the best

if its leaking oil the axle seals are leaking from loose bearings or dodgy bushings for th cv

if its grease the seals are stuffed or king pin bearings

naah she doesnt leak, i can see that the seal that goes around the moving ball is stuffed. i never really thought that the seal would seal that great anyways because of it being a moving thang, but if a seal on a alt shaft can stop oil leaving the pump into the alt i guess it should seal
