So I have the earliest WT, a 88.5 SJ50 softy. Whats the go with the drive shaft flanges?

Long story short, I bought a spare set of WT (SJ70)driveshafts for it so I could overhaul them without having the car off the road and then do a quick 10min swap over. Anyway pressed in some nice new hardy spicer uni's into the spare jackshaft, pulled out the old shaft, slotted in the new one. WTF tcase flange is different (narrower) .

So the question is do the early WT SJ50's run all narrow track flange spacings? Tcase/diffs?

I found that out with my stock rare WT Lwb.

some will and some wont.

its one of those suzui change over year things. they used up the old stock i reckon

Mmmmmmmmmm change over years yay for me! So another question regarding diff flanges are they the same spacing as standard WT's? I do recall my old 85 zuk being able to use a WT rear shaft straight off.

n/ts had different flanges, but i am pretty sure if you have 3.7 diffs you will have w/t flanges

My LWBWT had NT flanges all around. diffs, shafts, everything.

Could be worse..maruti..

suzuki went to the larger flanges when the vitara came out. they use the same unis etc, so it made sense to go to one part.
