YAY!!! IT WORKS!!!

I got the motor running today, i poured a little petrol down the carby and started it and it went pretty smooth but kept stopping, i assume because it ran out of fuel.

(for those who don't know , this is in my lwb project vehicle, i just put the motor in on the weekend)

so, i assume i have to keep turning it over and wait for the fuel to pump up from the tank... and that's fine, but my battery ran a bit low after turning it over. It was pretty shagged to start with really.

how can i tell if the fuel is getting to the motor? just thinking about it, i assume i could pull a hose off and it should pump out?

anyway, i'll have to wait til tomorrow when i've charged the battery.

i had the same thing when i went to fire the new fuel setup in mine. dead battery, and also alternator

if ya keen, just jump start the sierra. prob take a bit longer than mine did with a high volume efi pump to get pressure up, but should work

i got home today, walked up to the car, turned the key and it started and ran

sounds good with half a muffler.

It drives!!! got the front shaft in, locked the hubs and moved backwards and forwards!! awesome

yeah, here's a tip, don't run the engine without a shaft in the back on the gearbox, oil pours out everywhere
