I bought a new exhaust jack from a garage sale for $50.00.
I read the directions.Do not jack under the fuel tank or sharp objects,where can you usee them under a seria?

Alot of exhaust jack come with abit of canvas like material to but between the jack and the car to protected from punchers. I reckon if you put a floor mat or something on the jack it would help protect it.

I've had one for years, get 2 large squares of thick carpet & use that top & bottom.

I wouldn't be putting it anywhere near the gearbox crossmember with out somthing to protect it. The edges of that would slice it for sure.

yeah it's had a fair bit of use over the years, mainly beach work... great for jacking & filling in holes, but it's never been used on my zook as it's pretty much unboggable in the sand.

Great things, carpet squares are the answer. Make sure they are holding firmly, not crooked, they fly out at speed otherwise, and everything comes down. Fast.
Dont get underneath without chucking your spare under a tyre or something. Have a play with it wet. You will soon see what I mean. Fun times.
