Hey there! I just picked up a quote for $600 to pull the transmission out of my GV420 and replace a spigot bearing - assuming that is what is actually wrong with the vehicle, they were 80% sure. Does this seem like a reasonable quote? Thanks for your time. Kind regards, rwicks10

well... if your going that far why don't you just ask them to change the clutch, and throwout bearing whilst ur at it...

600 seems a little steep... i got a quote to get mine done for 5hunge at western brake and clutch

Hey there! Thanks for the quick response. I would do, however when I purchased the vehicle the previous owner had said that he had replaced the clutch, and I was lead to believe the vehicle had done very little driving under his ownership, as he broke his back. I would definitely be having it checked out though to avoid further issues. Cheers.

if they only changed the clutch, a GOOD mechanic would have changed the spigot or pilot bearing... so that doesn't really make sense... i would definitly take it else where for a 2nd opinion
