Yeah I don't have to worry about sensors, the only electics i have are my headlights and sparks. Gotta love carbi's simple 
Yeah I read here sometime ago that vits like catz so maybe I should look at putting one in. Any thoughts on that, can you guys confirm? And would it be noticable?

Hey, I have for sale my brand new extractors for a G16B. I bought it thinking I will use it once I rebuilt the engine & performance tuned it.
I am getting an engine conversion. $180 posted to your door.

OMFG OMFG My Vitara is like a ROCKET!
Picked it up today and I asked the mechanic what sort of power increase it has now. He said 3x times, I said are your F***ng kidding!
On the drive home I think I nearly ripped my cheeks apart with my smile. This thing flies!
Soon as you get to 2500rpm and stomp it I swear it wants to pop a mono. Pulls up to 100kmh no worries and sits there with just on 1/2 main butterfly open! Push into the secondary and dang off we go. Private property...soon seen me pushing 145kmh on the flat!
I cannot beleive how restricted it must have been. I am so happy right now. Oh and the missus said I can now get my Calmini 3" super articulation kit! WOOOT!
BTW anything over 120 in a lifted vitara feels real scary...and not very safe.

thats great to hear. I had a Mazda 323 with 1.6, similar story. put on sports exhaust, other one had blockage, transformed the thing. Needed to breath

Exactly... without a cat, unleaded is much worse, polluting emissions wise, than the old leaded petrol... they are a necessary evil... personally, i would always use a cat...

Yes and no, its not the fuel thats the problem as such (even though unleaded is worse for you than super ever was  ) its engines running a cat are tuned so the cat will take care of cleaning up to noxious stuff, where as pre cat engines were made to burn a lot cleaner (well try to) with a lot of added on garbage.
The only reason for the change to unleaded is because the lead in super coats the insides of the cat and stuffs it

Cool !... but 3 times the power increase, is a fair bit exaggerated lol...
But, if it was that blocked up, it may feel like it...
And Yes it certainly does feel alot better afterwards though... and yes it can feel like it is flying, ha ha... told you you would have a big smile !
After i had the sports exhaust fitted to my old stock Carby Vit, i hit 140kph, and yes it is pretty scary in a Vit going that fast, it feels very light and wobbly, ha ha...
Ohhh, so you allowed to get a Calmini 3in kit... Cool !
One thing you havnt mentioned... how does it sound now ???

When I say 3 times more that may be an understatement. Read my other topics and you will get the idea.
I went into the exhaust place today looking at a stainless tip and he showed me my old exhaust manifold. One whole side had collapsed due to the cat being blocked and generating so much heat. The only hole it had on the exhaust manifold was no bigger than the diameter of your thumb.
It's all good now. Life is good!

It sounds great. Right on 2000rpm is when she gets the deep growl and also between gear changes.

It's all good now. Life is good! Wow really... no wonder it feels so much better it thats all it had to fart out off It may feel better over time as well, cause alot of crap and deposits build up in the motor with a restriction in the exhaust, it can suck burnt exhaust gases back in... but once the motor can fart well, with the restriction gone, the engine runs cleaner in the combustion chamber, and burns the fuel better... and if you can afford it, use only Premium Unleaded fuel, the zook engine loves it !
