So, planning to go do the whole thing soon as i find a reasonably priced kit,

I'm having a hard time finding exactly what i need to do this conversion on the forum.
I'd love a link to a complete guide on whats needed and how to do it.

If not , what do i need?

Vitara G16B (not G16A right?) which year models fit?
EFI Computer
EFI Engine harness
External fuel pump (Any modification needed to the tank and fuel lines? Upgrade to EFI spec lines?)
Engine adapters
Anything need doing to the speedo, ect?

Hopeing for not too much downtime so hope to do it in a weekend and have everything ready. it's the daily driver.

Some things to consider whilst you have it apart:

-Replace clutch
-All seals and gaskets on the motor
-Timing belt and water pump
-Hoses

Vero board and a reed switch for the vss (there are a couple of threads on how to do that.
Try looking for a coily tank as the efi vitara pump fits it and it has the swirl baffle thingys built in.

Engine should be 91-98 model, some 91-93 vitara have the g16a engine tho
To make sure just Hunt down a 4 door wagon for the g16b

Can the vitara air con and fuel tank be fitted easily?

Not sure about the air-con. Fitting a Vit fuel tank will require moving the cross member and modifying / fabricating mounts.

The a/b nomenclature is a bit misleading as you can find 16 valve 1.6 engines with g16a stamped on them. What you're looking for is g16 with a 16 valve head. There are a few different versions but there isn't too much difference between them, i'd suggest looking for a later model one as it will be more likely to have less kms on it. The only real difference to take into consideration is that Baleno engines with coilpack ignition have a crank angle sensor that is mount under the front pulley. This will require additional modifications to the sump to allow for mounting of the sensor. It's not a deal breaker just something to be aware of.

I'd recommend getting the engine/harness/ECU out of the one donor. Because of the different versions of the engine and ECU.

A coil Sierra (SJ80) tank will accept the Vitara fuel pump assembly for a factory looking installation, but those tanks are hard to come by. The best solution is a surge tank fed by a low pressure pump, which is a reservoir for your externally mounted high pressure pump. Standard fuel supply and return hard lines are fine to use, but replace any flex lines on the high pressure side with EFI rated fuel hose.

Search for VSS, Myself and JrZook have both made threads about doing the VSS from scratch. If you get your engine from a donor vehicle and you can get the instrument cluster as well, this will make your life a little easier as the VSS can be taken from the Vitara cluster and installed into the Sierra cluster.

Definitely possible depending on your skill, you'll have to get everything lined up before you start though.

Fuel tank has been done but it's not straight forward. Mounts are completely different and exhaust will have to be rerouted.

Air con can use the Vit compressor but the rest you'll be better off using Sierra stuff.
