Hi guys,

I'm fed up with this stupid bloody body lift, I should've just spent the extra dollars and gotten the Alter Ego SAS kit.

Anyway, my bloody airbox won't line up with my AFM! Anyone have any idea how to fix it? Do I need a spacer somewhere?

My vit is a G16B EFI.

can you not loosen off the intake pipe at both ends & rotate it so it's pointing in the right direction, that's what i did for mine.

what size body lift is it?

We need pics, but you should be able to just unbolt the intake pipe from the exhaust manifold where it is held down and then everything will be alright.

And what AlteredEgo SAS Kit??????????? never seen one

Lol I meant trail slayer. I was all confused in my anger. Thanks guys, I'll give that a go. My diff is also making heaps of noise, I think it's the eye bolt on the rear v bar not being in the right position. Stupid car, pissing me off

I'll post up a photo if I have any more problems .

What size body lift & how much thread is showing on the heim joint on the rear?

Bingo! - And there's the answer.

Matt - how have you set up the pinion angle, and how much slip is left in the slip yoke on the back of the transfer? I have heard that calmini kits can result in vibrations/noise from the rear driveshaft due to funky angles and inadequate slip yoke engagement. A driveshaft spacer might fix the engagement, and playing with adjusting the heim joint might eliminate the vibration. Might take some trial and error though. (Heim joint bracket is in around the right way though, isn't it?)

I'm not having a go Matt, but you're just working though normal stuff that comes up with a BL or large suspension lift. You have absolutely no idea how much stuffing around would be involved in sorting a SAS/coil conversion.

I have head that slip yoke engagement can still be a problem though, depending on model.

Well the airbox issue is fixed for now. I'm going to get a custom pipe made up because the stock pipe is under heaps of pressure. The body lift is only 2", I can't believe I almost went 3", that would've been silly.

As with the Calmini lift, the heim joint i'm assuming is the bolt connected to the rear V bar above the diff. There is about 2 turns of thread available on the nut one the heim joint, should it be finger tight? Because it is?

My tailshaft is on a huge angle, it looks more than it should be, its dark now so I can't post any photo's. Could someone possibly post a photo of theirs so I can have a look

My mechanic ended up installing all of this by the way.
