hey guys looking at getting a missing link kit for my leafy off lowrangeoffroad.com in the coming weeks and new shocks brake lines and shock towers, my questions are with the front shock towers is there anything special i need to do except for welding them to the chassis and with the missing link do they require and special modifications? and suggestions muchly appreciated.

I would weld the towers to some kind of fisch plate then weld fisch plate to the chassis

You are welcome to PM me, or ask here any questions you may have about the YJ/RUF kit from trail tough/low range.

Fish plating the frame is a goos idea. otherwise the shocks towers can be torn from the frame.

The mods you need depend on whether or not you're staying spring under, and what springs you decide to use.

For YJ's I suggest the Trail tough kit front, and the sky manufacturing kit for the rear. Both companies products are sold at lowrange, and both are top notch fabrication companies.

I have the YJ complete kit undermine and have run it for 4 years now with no drama's I run the freeway at 65 for 20 miles, then the two lane roads for another 10-15 miles, then fire roads for another 2 or three to get to the trail. Fully loaded, or completely empty it handles great on road or off.
