Howdy all, today i was messing round doing a few hill climbs out on the trails and all seemed fine.

But when i went to start it this afternoon the motor is shaking teribly and has all but lost its idle, i adjusted the idle screw and now have a constant idle but the motor still shakes.
It goes away at about 2 grand but im still alittle worried :/

If anybody could help steer me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Bad earths are a common "instant" problem here. Check to see that all your ground are intact, and the contact surfaces re clean.

I know it sounds to easy, but earths have been known to fix anything from a horn, to a burning clutch cables.. including rough idle, and high rpm power loss.

For fool proofing the earthing system, you should have an earth from battery to; engine block, manifold, starter, frame and body.

Other than that I would check your fuel filter, and HT leads. Seeing as how it picks up off idle though, it makes me think it is fueling issue.

Get some star ya bastard, let it idle down where it is rough. Spray some in the carb, and see if the idle picks back up.If he idle picks back up it is fuel related. if it gets worse, or does not help, then it is most likely a spark issue.

Did you run into any water or splash through any puddles?
