how do you fit a new gasket to your dizzy cap

Is this a trick question? The only dizzy cap gasket I'm aware of is a square section rubber O-ring that the cap sits on - so remove the two screws holding the cap on, remove the cap, replace the gasket, replace the cap, replace the screws.
