i should be able to get some 2nd hand 235s for 500, just nothings popped up since iv acctually had the cash here to spend :/
think i might do a lock right rear for now, cause i can con dad by saying its the same a LSD lol
and if/when tyres come up for sale ill grab em. i have plenty of money to spend just dont want to pour too much into this zook..

You definitely don't want to spool the rear in a daily driven vitara.

You don't want a spool in the front of anything, especially an alloy diff vitara.

You won't get bigger tyres on rims for your budget, and you might not like what the will do to your gearing off road.

I would lock the rear in your position though- it's the biggest bang for your buck mod you can do.

Actually, I have had my rear lockrite passed under the new NCOP VSB14 etc etc etc laws. Checked by both Transport Tasmania and the engineer. Best to check in your state though as they like to change their minds.
