i want to get a better less restrictive airfilter for my sierra
what would be better a K&N or a unifilter?
i've got a price on a K&N one but how much would i be looking at for a unifilter?

You are better off sticking to the paper filters. Word on the street is that they actually increase air flow efficiency as they get a little bit of dust in them. I've always run paper filters and it has been fine. You won't notice a difference if you go to Finer or uni filter foam crap. THe only difference is that you will need to wash and re oil the thing every few thou. Look what the foam filter did to damo's car it disintegrated on him

I've always just used the standard paper filters. About $30 at Supercheap i think. Just change them when they get full of oil :oops:

When I first got my Sierra I went to Supacheap to get a paper filter cause the finer filter fitted in mine was rooted. I almost fell over when I saw the $30 price tag. I went to my usual parts supplier instead and it cost me $13.
