Can anyone tell me if the wiring harnesses on the LJ50 - 80 - 81 are the same or different?

they are different , 50 to 80

battery is on oppsite side in engine bay.

dash cluster wiring is the same , and essentially same wiring on the engine .ie alternator / starter / temp/ oil/ coil.

dash has different stuff in different places and different acillanary equipment in the engine bay.

LJ50 has oil tank warning light in gauges, 80 won't.

80 has Brake Warning lights on dash,50 doesn't.

Stockman has wiring for factory radio and column mounted Ign and wiper switch.

Main wiring harness on the 50 goes through the firewall on the driver's side, 80 goes through on the passenger side instead. Second series of LJ80 (stockman) has unis and yokes like 1 litre, 50 and earlier 80 have the same yoke flange but smaller unis.
