Just put in my new EFS 2" front springs and here is a photo of what I ended up with...

The first side I tried was the drivers side and it has ended up pushing the front shackle out to the side a fair way.

The passanger side seemed fine.

However, the sway bar was hitting the steering damper so it had to be romeoved because the pasanger side wouldnt re attatch.

1) Is the DS shakle a problem/unsafe to drive?
2) What might I have done that would have caused this to be like it is.
3) Do I need the sway bar?

Going on a big trip in 1 day - hope to have the problem rectified by then.

Any help appreciated.

support the car under the chassis and let the diffs and springs drop, loosen the ubolts, nip the shackles up a bit and do the u bolts back up

How much should I undo the U bolts? Both inside and outside ubolts at the same time?

Also, Has anyone posted a pic of exactly what has to get ground off the bumper hanger to fit 31's? And is it only the back seam inside the front wheel arch that has to be hammered flat?

undo them enough that you can move the springs around between the diff and plate, there is no too loose really, yes all the ubolts at once, all 4

Had a mongrel of a time getting them ot locate on the bottom of the diff in the first place. Had to push and pull and yell a bit to get it on... Took a fair amount of force...
We put the rear end in, then the front shackle and lift the spring up and aligned it using the U-bolts... It was the only way we could get it in...
Tried doing it the way that is described in the 'cheap 2" lift' thread, but couldnt get it to work that way...

I had to take my steering stabilizer off to start with, wouldnt go on any other way.
