I have just made a bracket for my new Fuse and relay block and about to start on some major cabling in the Jim.

Can anyone point me to a general colour standard used for various types of systems please. I just like to use some common code. ie...

Horn - blue
Spot lights - Orange
Rear work/reverse light - white

Note - I don't have many multi colour wires, mostly solids.

I will end up with 3 main power sources - BATT, ACC, IGN.

Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Grey, White. I do have a grey/red and a few Fig8 multi colours. Range from about 5Amp to 15Amp. I have ~40Amp Red and Black.

Here's the bracket. I plan to weld the 2 parallel stems to the top support and I might install some nutserts into the firewall and once I'm satisfied with it all.

Well, I don't need... 16(!) fuses, but in the modular units I got, that's what the are. I can add extra relay blocks if I need to. These blocks are semi sealed to. And I got extra places for fuses if I need.

I am thinking of hinging the unit to allow it to be pushed up. Any suggestions of a suitable hinge?

WOW...that is one big fuse box!!!!
Hope you got good diagrams and you're good at trouble shooting coz if you're pulling out all the wires and re-wiring the whole car that's going to be one big job

Not rewiring the whole car, and as stated, I don't plan to use the entire amount of fuses, thats just how it comes when you want a modular system. The box on the left holds 16 fuses and the right holds 4 relays, which is just enough. I can ad a third relay module if I need ata later date.

And yes, I have started by making a table of switches/types, fuses, relays, current etc so I have a starting point for what I needed. I have most of the circuits in mind but will draw them all up and note colours used for each.
