I used some carby cleaner and it seems to have blocked something inside the carby. It is the areosol type you spray directly down the throat, not the fuel additive type. Now it wont idle or even run under about 1500rpm, and runs rough above 1500rpm. Everything was fine up until i put carby cleaner thru it. Ive flushed the tank and changed fuel filter as i thought i was dirty fuel, but problem still there.

get a rag, pull the carby hat off so you can see the throats.

start the engine, wad the rag up in your had so you can get a good seal on the top of the carby.

rev engine up using the throttle linkage on the carby & smother the top of the carby with the rag while the engine is revving, this will suck what ever is stuck in the idle jet out & hopefully fixing your problem, you might have to do it a few times.

Or swap leads 1 and 4 on the dizzy cap and rev it to about 2500ish and let it die down a bit, it will backfire and may unblock whatever is there.
